Projected yoke faces 29a, 29'a are formed to reduce a magnetic resistance, and a returning path of a coil magnetic circuit is formed.

Thus a noise part, i.e. a time delay component of a signal containing the noise is offset.

To the surface of a head opposing to the medium 5, a shielding magnetic layer tapered except a main magnetic pole 7 surface, e.g. a permalloy film 9 is stuck. Since bits other than a bit (a) to be read are covered with the shielding permalloy 9, magnetic flux from the bit (a) is sucked sufficiently by the permalloy film 7 of the main magnetic pole and never reaches the surrounding bits, so that reading efficiency increases.

Further, a heat insulating space 4 or heat insulator is arranged between the external surface of the permanent magnet 2 and the yoke 1 in the confronting essential part, thereby reducing the heat transmission from this part.

    • PURPOSE:To easily magnetize a permanent magnet by a method wherein magnetic poles provided on the magnetized surface are faced to flat plate coils in such a manner that the magnetizing direction of the permanent magnet is made in parallel to the moving direction of the flat plate coil and in reverse between the adjacent permanent magnet each other. CONSTITUTION:A plural number of sectionally divided permanent magnets 4 are arranged, for example, in annular, and movable coil acturators composed of the flat plate coils are provided in field spaces 13 which are formed between the permanent magnets 4 each. The individual permanent magnets 4 are magnetized in such that the direction of the magnetization thereof are parallel to the directions of the movable coil actuators moving and further, the permanent magnets adjacent to each other are alternately turned in the opposite directions between the same, and ferromagnetic poles 12 provided on the magnetized surface of the individual permanent magnets 4 are faced to the flat plate coils arranged in the field spaces 13 between the permanent magnets 4. Whereby the field system having an effect equivalent to that of the permanent magnets which are circumferentially magnetized can easily be magnetized with a magnetizer of an electromagnet type.
