    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material which suppresses a fogging due to enhanced sensitivity while enhancing photographic sensitivity and is less liable to increase the fogging even when stored at a high temperature and a high humidity and under such severe conditions that it is exposed to harmful gas produced in combustion, such as automobile exhaust gas. SOLUTION: A silver halide emulsion containing one or more of the compounds of formulae (1)-(3) is provided. In the formula (1), Z1 is an atomic group capable of forming a 6-membered ring together with N and two C atoms of the benzene ring; R1 , R2 and RN1 are each H or a substituent; X1 is a substituent; m1 is an integer of 0-3; and L1 is a releasable group. In the formula (2), ED11 is an electron donative group; R11 , R12 , RN11 , R13 and R14 are each H or a substituent; X11 is a substituent; m11 is an integer of 0-3; L11 is a releasable group; and RN11 , R13 , R14 , X11 and ED11 may bond to each other to form a cyclic structure. In the formula (3), R22 , R23 , R21 , RN21 , Ra and Rb are each H or a substituent and L21 is a releasable group, but when RN21 is a group other then aryl, Ra and Rb bond to each other to form an aromatic ring.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the heat-developable photographic material small in deterioration of image density due to storage left in an unexposed state and superior in image storage stability even under conditions of being exposed to light and heat by incorporating a reducible silver salt, a reducing agent, a binder, a specified compound, and a specified organic acid compound. SOLUTION: This heat developable photographic mateal contains the reducible silver salt, the reducing agent, the binder, and at least one kind of compound represented by formula I and the organic acid compound represented buy formula II. In formula I, R is a univalent substituting; and (m) is 1, 2, 3, or 4, and when (m) is >=2, plural G may be same or different, and when plural G are adjacent, they may combine with each other to form an aliphatic or aromatic or hetero ring. In formula II, A is a mono- or poly-cyclic aromatic ring; Y is a -COOH or -SO2 H or -SO3 H group; and (n) is 1 or 2, thus permitting the obtained heat developable photographic material to be high in image density and freed of deterioration image density by raw stock storage and superior in image storage stability.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide emulsion and a silver halide photographic sensitive material which suppress fogging due to increased sensitivity while increasing the photographic sensitivity of the photographic emulsion and ensure little increase of fog even when stored at high temperature and high humidity or under severe conditions including exposure to noxious gas generated during combustion, such as automobile exhaust gas. SOLUTION: The silver halide emulsion contains a compound capable of taking part in reactions including a cyclization reaction represented by a chemical reaction formula (1) after oxidation of the compound, wherein X 1 represents a group forming a 5-membered heterocyclic group in combination with C=C; Y 1 represents a group forming a 5- or 6-membered aryl or heterocyclic group in combination with C=C; R 1 and R 2 each represent H or a substituent; M represents a radical, a radical cation or a cation; and R 1 and R 2 may link together to form a 5- or 7-membered ring in combination with C=C.
