When the requesting signal is received at a numerical controller side, the numerical controllers #0 to #7 generate the prescribed picture information in accordance with the contents of the requesting signal, and transmit the picture information successively to the display device 10. In the display device 10, plural pieces of the transmitted picture information are collected to one display screen 11, and plural pieces of the picture information to be displayed are simultaneously displayed.

    • PURPOSE:To set an original point with a simple operation by shifting a machine working part by an extent equal to one grid if the stopped grid is not coincident with the original point. CONSTITUTION:A machine working part is positioned at a point P1 precedent a grid G4 that is defined as an original point. In this case, the point P1 is not required to be set at a position not distant away from the original point by one grid or less as long as the setting position is precedent the original point. Then a mode selection switch of a machine control panel is set at an original point setting position so that an original point resetting mode ZRN. When a jog feed button +X of an axis X is turned on, the machine working part is stopped at a grid G3 nearest the point P1. An operator judges that the grid G3 is not coincident with the original point based on the scale, etc., of the machine working part. Then the operator turns on an original point shift switch ZRX. The machine working part moves toward an axis +X by an extent equal to one grid based on the signal ZRX and is shifted onto a grid G4. Thus the original point can be set for the machine working part.

Next, it is decided whether the decided relay is the external input signal or an internal relay, and when it is the internal relay, it is returned to the coil search and the above operation is repeated. When it is the external input signal, all the relays are displayed on a display 7.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the change of a machine tool which is controlled by a PC without changing the connection of a cable set between the machine tool and the PC, by using an input image buffer, an output image buffer and a conversion cable and changing the flow of the input/output signals in accordance with the change of the conversion table. CONSTITUTION:The input signals are transferred to an input image buffer 32 from an input buffer 31 and also to an output buffer 33 from an output image buffer 34 respectively. In such a case, the transfer destination of the input or output signal is changed by reference to a conversion table 35. The input/output signals are not directly supplied and delivered from and to outside via an internal process and transferred to the buffers 31 and 33 indicated by the table 35 after the temporary storage in both buffers 32 and 34. Thus the transfer destinations of the input/output signals can be easily changed when the table 35 is rewritten. In such a way, an external machine tool to be controlled can be changed without switching the external cables, etc.
