    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel product cutting method according to which curing of a structure top surface (internal surface) and post-handling of a steel product after cutting are dispensed with, cutting near the structure top surface (internal surface) is allowed, and cutting work is carried out in a short time.
      SOLUTION: The steel product cutting method is provided for cutting the steel product which has one end and the other end embedded in a concrete hollow structure, at a location close to the structure internal surface corresponding at least to the one end or the other end. The method is implemented by a cutting device formed of: a main body 8 detachably attached to the steel product 2; a movable body attached to the main body in a manner accessible to/separable from the steel product; a rotary cutting blade 33 formed of a disk-shaped grindstone attached to the movable body; a driving member 22 for driving the cutting blade for rotation; and an operating member 30 for approaching/separating the movable body. According to the method, the main body of the cutting device is attached to the steel product 2 such that a surface of the cutting blade is located at a close location in parallel with the structure internal surface, and then the movable body is brought close to the steel product by the operating member 30 during high-speed rotation of the cutting blade 33 by the driving member 22. In this manner the steel product 2 can be cut away from the structure 1 with only a slight portion of the steel product 2 left on the internal surface of the structure 1.
