    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser ignition device capable of improving overall thermal efficiency of an engine.
      SOLUTION: First, in a throttle sensor, engine load is calculated (S200). Specifically, a signal of the throttle sensor is output to an engine ECU to make an opening/closing level of the throttle sensor engine load. Then, the engine ECU determines whether or not the opening/closing level of the throttle sensor detected by the throttle sensor is high, or whether or not the engine load is high load (S210). When the engine load is not high load, ignition frequency is not changed to suppress energy necessary for ignition and improve fuel economy. On the other hand, when the engine load is high, first and second lasers are emitted to increase ignition frequency inside a combustion chamber and flaming speed is improved (S220).

The fuel generating turbulence on the outer side of the nozzle hole 31 is difficult to be straightened by the shortened nozzle hole 31. Accordingly, atomization of spray of the fuel is promoted. On the other hand, at a portion other than the recessed part 32, thickness of the nozzle hole plate 30 is maintained. Therefore, strength of the nozzle hole plate 30 is maintained.
