      SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve comprises a three-way valve 4 for selectively providing fluid communication between a control chamber 3, which applies a valve closing force to a nozzle needle 2 for opening/closing an injection hole 13, and a drain channel 17 or a high-pressure channel 15 for providing fluid communication between the valve chamber 42 of the three-way valve 4 and the control chamber 3 through a main orifice 61. The fuel injection valve also comprises an auxiliary orifice 62 for providing full-time fluid communication bypassing the three-way valve 4 between the high-pressure channel 15 and the control chamber 3. Driving a valve body 41 by a piezoactuator 5 allows a high-pressure fuel flowing through the auxiliary orifice 62 to slowly reduce the oil pressure of the control chamber 3 when the valve is open, and quickly increases the oil pressure when the valve is closed, so that the nozzle needle 2 is improved in lifting characteristic.
