    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode plate for a lithium ion secondary battery and the lithium ion secondary battery wherein charge/discharge is made possible in further high capacity and large current.SOLUTION: The positive electrode plate for the lithium ion secondary battery includes: a positive electrode plate including a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer formed on at least one surface thereof; and a negative electrode including a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material layer formed on at least one surface thereof. The positive electrode current collector protrudes toward one surface side and has a protrusion, of which the center is a through-hole, formed therein. Out of the whole thickness of the positive electrode plate, the ratio occupied by the thickness of a portion, where only the positive electrode active material layer exists without existence of the positive electrode current collector and the protrusion thereof, is within 3% or more and 75% or less.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve charge and discharge cycle durability of a battery and enable recycling of resources.
      SOLUTION: The load leveling power supply system with a lithium secondary battery, an operating temperature maintenance means for maintaining an operating temperature of the battery within a given temperature range, and a charge and discharge means for the battery to repeat charging by midnight power and discharging with supply of power aimed at power load reduction. The lithium secondary battery includes an electrode group formed by laminating or winding around through an insulator a cathode mixture using olivine type metal lithium phosphate or a lithium manganate compound as a main agent, and an anode mixture using carbon material or alloy as a main agent formed on collectors each equipped with a protruded through-hole, and nonaqueous electrolyte or solid electrolyte. The operating temperature maintenance means is a means of starting thermal supply with an outside heat source when a surface temperature of the lithium secondary battery falls below a given temperature, and stopping the same when the temperature goes beyond the given range.
