    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon black composite excellent in conductivity imparting capability, and capable of being easily dispersed in a resin or a rubber, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a carbon black composite of a fibrous carbon and a non-fibrous carbon includes heat treating a fibrous carbon slurry whose median of the particle size distribution of ≤5 μm as measured by a MicroTrack and whose concentration is ≥1.0 mass% and ≤10 mass%, with a hydrocarbon in a non-oxidative atmosphere at ≥1,500°C. The fibrous carbon is preferably subjected to a mechanical micronization treatment and/or a chemical micronization treatment. For the mechanical micronization treatment, preferably used is a bead mill, a vibration mill, a ball mill, a rod mill, a disc mill or a mixer. The chemical micronization treatment is preferably a dispersant treatment and/or an acid treatment.

      SOLUTION: In the method for producing the carbon black composite, production of a fibrous carbon, production of a spherical carbon particles, and complexation of fibrous carbon and spherical carbon particles are continuously carried out. In the method for producing a carbon black composite, production of a fibrous carbon is carried out at the upper stage and production of spherical carbon particles and complexation of fibrous carbon and spherical carbon particles are carried out at the lower stage of the two-stage type reacting furnace. In the method for producing carbon black composite, spherical carbon particles are acetylene black. In the method for producing carbon black composite, the temperature for producing fibrous carbon is 600-1,000°C.
