    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint member which can sufficiently follow the displacement of a segment during earthquakes, the destruction of which can be prevented by absorbing the energy of the earthquakes, and which can prevent the destruction of a shield tunnel in consequence.
      SOLUTION: The steel segment is composed of a longitudinal rib which is arranged in the axial direction of the tunnel or a vertical shaft, and end face plates which are positioned at both the ends of the longitudinal rib, respectively. A tube for installing a male member is provided inside the end surface plate of the one segment. A tube for receiving the male member is provided inside the end surface plate of another segment. The longitudinal ribs are positioned on both the sides of the tube for the male member and those of the tube for a female member, respectively. A beam of the end surface plate is formed in such a shape that the height of the beam is great only around positions where the tube for the male member and the tube for the female member are installed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint member capable of preventing a shield tunnel from being collapsed by sufficiently following up the displacement of a segment during an earthquake to absorb the energy of the earthquake and prevent the joint member from being broken.
      SOLUTION: The joint member comprises a male member projecting from the end surface of one segment and a female member recessed in the end surface of the other segment. The male member and the female member are attached to a steel shell. The male member and the female member are disposed in the state of being insulated from a concrete. The free ends of anchors having one ends attached to the steel shell are buried in the concrete on both sides of the male member and the female member, respectively. The steel shell can be separated from the concrete between the anchors.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a segment, which can form a perfect circle without making a gap, when a segment group is assembled.
      SOLUTION: The composite segment 1 manufactured by this manufacturing method comprises: a steel shell 11 which is composed of an arcuate bottom plate and a peripheral frame material; the inside of the steel shell 11; and concrete 12 which is infilled up to a position higher than the frame material. The composite segment 1 employs a doughnut-shaped ring side board 3 which has an outside diameter larger than that of a cylinder constituted by assembling the segment group, and which has an inside diameter smaller than that of the cylinder constituted by assembling the segment group. The two ring side boards 3 are installed in parallel along the circumferential direction of an rotating outer cylinder inside the rotating outer cylinder. The plurality of arcuate steel shells 11 are installed between the ring side boards 3. A joint plate 4 is interposed between the one steel shell 11 and the adjacently-installed steel shell 11. The concrete 12 is placed inside a group of the steel shells 11 which are rotated integrally with the rotating outside cylinder.
