    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass lens polishing method which enables the polishing of a glass lens without degradation of its fixing function at the time of polishing the glass lens even if the surface of the lens has been subjected to antifouling treatment.
      SOLUTION: The glass lens polishing method is carried out by pinching the glass lens by means of fixing sections arranged at tips of two fixing chucks, fixing the same to a polishing apparatus, and then polishing peripheral portions of the lens. According to the method, the fixing section of at least one of the fixing chucks has adsorptive activity or adherence and a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is interposed between the fixing section and the surface of the glass lens. The fixing section having the adsorptive activity or adherence may be formed of a sucker section or an adhesive section. It is preferable that a surface area of the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet placed on the glass lens is larger than the surface area of the fixing section of the fixing chuck, adsorbed to or adhering to the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet.
