CONSTITUTION: This powder is obtained by treating powder with a polymer composed of recurring unit derived from a polyfluoroalkyl-contg. (meth)acrylate of formula I (Rf is a polyfluoroalkyl; A is an alkylene, etc.; X is H or methyl), or with a copolymer composed of the above recurring unit, recurring unit derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate of formula II ((n) is 12-22) and/or recurring unit derived from a silicone macromonomer of formula III ((n) is 5-200). This powder is inexpensive, being simple is production process. The amount of the above homopolymer or copolymer to be used is 1-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the original powder which is e.g. talc, kaolin, mica, titanium dioxide.

The treated carriers are useful to destroy organisms, such as termites or wood rotting fungi, which decompose cellulose and utilize it as an energy source.
