    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for the winding of a dynamo-electric machine and a forming method for winding recessed portion, wherein electrical insulation can be ensured between a stator core and electrical conductors. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the winding of a dynamo-electric machine comprises a pressing process, in which the pressed portions 331g of segment conductors are pressed in a predetermined direction to reduce the dimension thereof in the direction of pressing; an inserting process in which the segment conductors partly deformed in the pressing process are inserted into the slots in a stator core; a bending process in which the segment conductors are bent; a jointing process in which the ends of the segment conductors are jointed with each other. In the pressing process, a segment conductor is set in a die 100. The die 100 has arc-shaped corners 100a for suppressing deformation in the corners 331h of the pressed portion 331g located in the direction opposite to the direction of pressing.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for the winding of a rotary electric machine wherein junction failure is prevented from occurring.
      SOLUTION: The manufacturing method involves a pressure applying process in which the tips 331g and 332g of segment conductors with insulating covering stripped off are deformed, an inserting process in which the segment conductors with the tips 331g and 332g deformed through the pressure applying process are inserted into slots in a stator core, a bending process in which the ends of the segment conductor inserted into the slots are bent, and a joining process in which the joining portions 331h and 332h of the tips of the adjoining bent segment conductors are joined with each other. In the pressure applying process, the tips 331g and 332g are sandwiched from both sides in the direction of pressure application and deformed using a die having a pressure applying face which protrudes as it goes toward the end faces of the tips 331g and 332g and a punch having a pressure applying face opposed to the die.
