摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a dispensing system for postmix juice with a concentrate of specific density at freezer temperatures by equipping a pressurizable canister capable of holding and dispensing the required quantity of a juice concentrate, a means for pressurizing the canister, a means for heating the concentrate and a metering device for controlling the ratio of water to the concentrate fed to a mixing chamber. CONSTITUTION: A complete mixing of a concentrate with water is effected by a postmix juice dispensing system 10 in such a way that the water and juice concentrate, at a mix ratio of 5:1, for example, are fed to a mixing chamber 16. Water is fed via a conduit 18 to a metering device 20 and then to the mixing chamber 16. The concentrate is included in a concentrate bag 30 at freezer temperatures of from about -102 deg.F. to 0 deg.F. The concentrate bag 30 is removed from a freezer and disposed on a rigid and pressurizable canister 32 which is then pressurized by a pressure source and a pressure regulator 36. The pressure forces the pliable concentrate into a heat exchanger 40 via a concentrate conduit 38 and then, into the metering device 20 and the mixing chamber 16.

摘要： PURPOSE: To efficiently dispense orange juice of good taste by applying pressure on the inside of a canister to send the concentrate of a refrigerator temp. contained in the deflection bag in this canister to a mixing chamber and mixing the concentrate with water at a suitable mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION: The bag 30 is arranged in the rigid pressurizable canister 32 of the postmix juice dispensing system for dispensing the concentrate (preferably 5+1 concentrate) at the refrigerator temp. (-10 to 0 deg.F) from the deflection bag 30. The pressure is applied on the inside of the canister to extrude the concentrate from the bag 30. The concentrate is sent to a heat exchanger 40 where the concentrate is heated up to 32 to 40 deg.F. The thawed concentrate is then sent together with the water for controlling the mixing ratio to a metering device 20. Further, the water and the concentrate are fed to the mixing chamber 16 having a dispensing valve 19 and the mixture as an orange juice drink is dispensed to a cup 14. Consequently, the orange juice of good taste is efficiently dispensed.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make it possible to control two syrup components to a prescribed volumetric ratio by providing a binary syrup metering system with a pressure equalizing means for compensating the pressure difference between a pair of flow channels and metering orifices in the respectively flow channels. CONSTITUTION: A syrup metering device 16 including a housing 50 for beverage dispensing from containers 12, 14 holding the different syrup components is provided with inlets 22, 24 and an outlet 26 and the flow channels 34, 36 connected to these inlets 22, 24. The pressure equalizing means 38, 40 combined with a single actable diaphragm member 42 having diaphragm elements 44, 46 for compensating the pressure difference at the flow channels are disposed and a pressure equalizing block is formed in each of the flow channels respectively existing downstream of these means. The flow channels respective existing downstream of the pressure equalizing blocks are respectively provided with the metering orifices 68, 70. The syrup is fed from the flow conduits thereof to the outlet 26 which controls the stream of the two separate syrup components, thereby combining these components to the complete syrup having the specified volumetric ratio.

摘要： PURPOSE: To maintain a consistent ice bank within the capacity of a compressor system by providing a solid temperature sensor mounted adjoining to an evaporation coil, a microcomputer, and a control circuit in which a compressor motor is switched off when sensed temperature of the sensor reaches a first selection value while returning the same to on when the same reaches a second selection value. CONSTITUTION: A sensor 30 is mounted on an ice water bath at a desired predetermined distance from an evaporation coil 16 with the aid of a support bracket 38 coupled with a coil. The sensor is an inexpensive solid sensor composed of a thermistor sensitive element 40 covered with a big volume of an epoxy material 42 inside a waterproof plastic shell 44 and being repeatable. The sensor 30 is placed at a desired position with respect to a boundary between ice and water, and is coupled with a single chip microcomputer to achieve temperature control within 0.05 degree Fahrenheit within a very narrow temperature range over from about 29.5 to 31.845 degree Fahrenheit, whereby an ice bank is kept always essentially in the same size.

The refrigeration system 20 can be replaced with a standard cold plate system using ice when electric power cannot be utilized.
