There is provided the organic light emitting element in which the material of the host and the hole-blocking layer and the material of the electron-blocking layer have either biphenyl or hydrocarbon compounds having partial structures of 1-phenylnaphthalene.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light-emitting material having a good light-emitting efficiency, especially a triphenylene compound capable of being used together with a blue color light-emitting material, blue-green color-light-emitting material or red color light-emitting material.
      SOLUTION: By using the triphenylene compound bonded with a fluorene unit or a carbazole unit as a constituting material of the organic light-emitting element, it is possible to obtain stable emitted light having a high efficiency, originated from the characteristics of the triphenylene compound. Especially, in the case of forming a light-emitting layer by using a phosphorescent light-emitting material as a guest and the triphenylene compound as a host, it is possible to obtain the organic light-emitting element having a high electric field light-emitting efficiency by utilizing a high T1 level of the triphenylene compound. Also, in the case of using the triphenylene compound as the constituting material of an adjacent layer to a layer containing the phosphorescent light-emitting material, it is possible to obtain the organic light-emitting element having a high electric field light-emitting efficiency by utilizing the high T1 level of the triphenylene compound.
