    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor rotor in which another member does not exist on the outer circumferences of a rotor shaft having reduced bearing friction with a tenon having a diameter smaller than a commonly used value and a rotor magnet.
      SOLUTION: This rotor is structure so that a rotor shaft made of a metal member is almost machined to have a shaft diameter equal to that of a tenon as both end portions by, for example, cernterless machining, and a resin-made rotor pinion is formed around the rotor shaft member on the one surface of a rotor magnet. Further, the rotor includes a rotation stop means for the rotor shaft of the rotor pinion and a movement preventing means in the shaft direction which are formed by crushing part of the rotor shaft or press-fitting another material into the rotor shaft at a portion contacting the rotor shaft contacts a resin material forming the rotor pinion. Still further, part of the resin material forming the rotor pinion may communicate the other surface of the rotor magnet through the hole of the magnet so as to be a rotor seat equivalent member after being cured.

      SOLUTION: In the rotor for a stepping motor which comprised a rotor pinion as a member inserting the rotor shaft and coupled to the rotor shaft, a rotor magnet and a rotor seat, a hole of at least either the rotor pinion or the rotor seat is formed to have the shape of a shaft cross section of a non-circular, and a member having the hole of non-circular cross section of the shaft and a predetermined portion of the rotor shaft engaged with the member are press-fitted so that at least either of them can be elastically deformed when the rotor magnet is inserted into the rotor shaft to crimp the rotor magnet by the rotor pinion and the rotor seat, thereby fitting the member to the predetermined portion. Also, the rotor seat is integrally molded with the rotor shaft in advance, and the rotor magnet is crimped and fixed by the rotor pinion press-fitted into such the rotor shaft.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time until normal handling of a needle is performed by prohibiting the passage of all drive pulses and stopping the drive of a step motor when a drive judgment circuit judges as non-rotation when a control circuit is passing a drive pulse for a low voltage with the maximum energy. SOLUTION: When a power supply voltage is equal to or less than 1.15 V, the voltage of a secondary power supply 13 drops due to charge shortage. When it becomes 1.15 V or less, this conditions is detected by a power supply voltage detection circuit 14 and a rotation judgment signal is sent from a drive judgment circuit 18 to a control circuit 15. The control circuit 15 prohibits the passage of a normal drive pulse and allows the passage of a drive pulse for a low voltage, instead. The drive pulse for a low voltage is a rapid pulse for every two seconds which is different in handling of a needle from a normal drive pulse, namely a two-second needle-handling pulse, and a user can detect that a voltage has dropped from the needle handling state of a second needle. Further, when the control circuit 15 is allowing the drive pulse for low voltage with the maximum energy to pass, it prohibits the passage of all drive pulses if the drive judgment circuit 18 judges to be non-rotation.
