    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a chip tray from being displaced from a given position at the inner bottom part of a second division joint also when branching take-out is effected by obliquely assembling a joint for active pipe branch since a distance between an original pipe and other buried pipe is narrow, and to suitably realize take-out of chips even in case of branch take-out at oblique piping, in a joint for active pipe branch wherein chips are stored in a chip tray after boring of the original pipe by a hole saw, and then taken out. SOLUTION: A pair of first and second division joints 4 ad 5 are conjugated with a part in an axial direction of the original pipe 1 and a branch pipe 2 is connected to a branch pipe connection port 13 of the second division joint 5. A hole saw 26 is set at a boring control port 14 of the second division joint 5. Chips 42 generated by boring are stored in a chip tray 15 situated in a recessed part 46 of the inner bottom of the second division joint 5. The chip tray 15 is held in a fit-in state in the recessed part 46 with a shrinkable and deformable elastic ring 47 situated in a size-reduced state on the inner periphery of the upper end part of the opening of the recessed part 46, and lifting of the chip tray 15 from the recessed part 46 in a diameter expandable state is allowed.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting the flow rate of a gas, which can be inexpensively manufactured. SOLUTION: A male screw part 11e for use in attachment to a gas pipe is formed on the upstream side end part of a tubular apparatus body 1. A tube body 2 is provided inside the apparatus body 1. A valve seat hole 2f is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the tube body 2. A movable member 3 is provided inside the tube body 2 so as to be capable of moving in the axial direction of the tube body 2. The movable member 3 is energized by a coil spring 6 to the downstream side so as to abut against a stopper member 7. A valve part 3a is provided on the end part at the upstream side from the valve seat hole 2f of the movable member 3. A ring-like spacing R is formed between the outer circumferential surface of the valve part 3a and the inner circumferential surface of the tube body 2. A differential pressure between the upstream side part and the downstream side part with respect to the valve part 3a of the tube body 2 is generated by the flow of the gas in the spacing R.
