    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unstable operation of an armature plate of an solenoid valve due to dirt in drain fuel. SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve 1 comprises the fuel injection control solenoid valve 5 having an electromagnet solenoid 68 and an armature stopper 67 incorporated in a fixed sleeve 61 for controlling the lifting operation of the armature plate 51, whereby the escape of high pressure fuel in a control chamber 45 to a fuel low pressure part is controlled. It has a gap G3 between a fixed core 63 and the armature stopper 67 and a through-hole 67B formed in the armature stopper 67. The drain fuel flowing in the solenoid valve 5 when energized is escaped via the gap G3 and the through-hole 67B to the fuel low pressure part and dirt in the drain fuel is held between the armature plate 51 and the armature stopper 67, thus preventing a change in the lifting amount of the armature plate 51.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deviation of the lifting amount of an armature plate from a set value due to the deformation of parts in nut fastening work during assembly.
      SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve 1 comprises a valve body 24 stored in a recessed portion 27 of an injector housing 22 and fastened and fixed thereto with a nut 28 and a solenoid actuator 5 assembled on an upper end face 27A of the recessed portion 27 for cooperation with the valve body 24. On the upper end face 27A of the recessed portion 27, at least one protruded portion 70 is provided for giving an assembly reference face to the solenoid actuator 5. An upper face 71 of the protruded portion 70 is formed as the assembly reference face which avoids giving the influences of the deformation of the upper end face 27A of the recessed portion 27 due to the fastening with the nut 28 to the upper face 71. As a result, even when deformation occurs due to the fastening with the nut 28, a relative position relationship between the solenoid actuator 5 and the valve body 24 is precisely established as required.
