As for the contour line of the carcass 1 divided into two mountains by the tightening of the hoop material 3, each mountain is made to be a crown portion, and when a single tire containing this crown portion and existing side walls is each imagined, the carcass contour lines of respective imagined tires that adjoin mutually with the annular recessed portion 6 interposed, become shapes that intersect mutually or come into contact with each other on the tire diametrical inside of the annular recessed portion 6, and the thickness (h) of rubber that is embedded between the bottom surface of the annular recessed portion 6 and the hoop material 3, is made thicker than the thickness (t) of tread rubber on the tire diametrical outside of a belt layer.

A narrow width land section 6 and a wide width land section 7 are formed by a narrow groove 5 in each land section division 4. Also, thickness T of the wide width land section 7 is set to 0.78 to 2.0 times depth (h) of the narrow groove 5 to form a shear deformation region. Also, average thickness TL of the land section division 4 which is orthogonal to the narrow groove 5 at the bottom of a mutually divided groove 3 is set to 1.5 times thickness from the bottom of the narrow groove 5 to the bottom of the mutually divided groove 3.

CONSTITUTION:The inner edge part in a radial direction of a stiffener 20 is disposed between a body part 5 and an outer ply 10, and comes into contact with a bead 2. Besides, the inner side stiffener part 21 is constituted from rubber with shore A hardness 58-68 degree, and the outer side stiffener part 22 is constituted from rubber with shore A hardness at 55 degree or less, which is apt to deform. Moreover, the volume ratio of the outer stiffener part 22 to the whole stiffener 20 is set at 10% or more.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent an outer side ply from its separation by forming a hollow in a specific location of a tire external surface and, making a specific curve extending in parallel to the main unit part of a carcass ply, to cross with the hollow and also specifying a distance, from an outer side ply to the hollow. CONSTITUTION:The carcass ply 4 of a carcass layer 3 in a tire 1 is composed of a main unit part 5 positioned inside the axial direction of a bead 2 and a foldback part 6 serving as an outer side ply positioned outside the axial direction of the head 2. In this case, a hollow 20 is formed in a tire external surface 18 between a radial direction outer end 17 of the foldback part 6 and a tire maximum width position. A curve B, extending in parallel to the main unit part 5 toward the tire maximum width position from the radial direction outer end 17, is made to cross the hollow 20. Furthermore, a distance C on the curve B, from the radial direction outer end 17 to a hollow side wall 21 on the side approaching this radial direction outer end 17, is set to 2.5 or less times the minimum distance A from the radial direction outer end 17 to the main unit part 5.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent both separation of a belt end of a tire and uneven abrasion thereof by disposing a reinforcing layer between a belt ply and a carcass layer, and by arranging both widthwise outer ends of a reinforcing layer widthwise inward from specific points within the width of a tread. CONSTITUTION:A tire is composed of a carcass layer 2, a tread 7 arranged radially outward from the carcass layer 2 and a belt layer 8 disposed between the carcass layer 2 and tread 7. In this arrangement, a reinforcing layer 11 composed of less than two layers of reinforcing plies 12 which are embedded therein with cords laid substantially in parallel with the equator of the tire, are arranged between a belt ply 9c located at the radially outermost side of the belt layer 8 and the carcass layer 2. Further, the widthwise outer ends 14, 15 of each reinforcing ply 12 are arranged widthwise inward from points 18, 19 which are spaced respectively from both shoulder ends 16, 17 of the tire by one-fifth of the tire tread width W.
