    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain further reduction of consumption of a battery in a switch control device for a vehicle for detecting ON/OFF of the switch. SOLUTION: The switch control device for the vehicle is provided with: a detection means 14 for detecting that the vehicle (not shown) is in which state of the power-saving state and the usual state; a voltage applying means 11 for applying a voltage to a terminal of the switch including a door switch 1 and an ignition switch; and a switch ON/OFF determination means 13 for determining ON/OFF of the switch 1 by comparing a reference voltage lower than the applied voltage with a voltage of the terminal of the switch 1. When it is in the power-saving state, it is controlled so as to intermittently apply the voltage to the terminal of the switch 1, and when the voltage is applied to the terminal of the switch 1, ON/OFF is determined. When the detection means 14 detects that it is in the power-saving state (or in the usual state), the voltage applying means 11 switches the voltage applied to the terminal of the switch to a low degree (or high degree).
