    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor which can hold magnets on a stator side in a stable manner.SOLUTION: A brushless motor 10 (vernier motor) is set to satisfy a formula: the number of slots on a side of a rotor 13=the number of slots on a side of a stator 12±the number of pole pairs of a coil 32. In the brushless motor 10, a stator core 31 comprises a tooth core member 31a formed by circumferentially connecting at a connection part 41 a plurality of teeth radially arranged, and an annular core back member 31b formed by attaching the respective teeth to the tooth core member 31a so as to connect the respective teeth at radial ends thereof on a side opposite to the rotor. Stator side magnets 34 each are supported radially by the connection part 41 of the tooth core member 31a and supported axially by a first coating part 53 which is formed integrally with a tooth core side insulator 33a.

The lower surface 10b and the upper surface 20b are arranged parallel and opposite to each other. Thus, an axial gap brushless motor is provided that is thin and provides high torque at low speed.
