    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a gas turbine with a sequential combustion part capable of reducing CO emission and avoiding a pressure drop under a partial load operation without increasing a flashback risk, and to provide a gas turbine operated by the method .SOLUTION: There is provided the method for operating a gas turbine with a sequential combustion part. The gas turbine includes as the sequential combustion part: a compressor; a first combustor including a first combustion chamber for receiving compressed air from the compressor and a first burner; and a second combustor including a second combustion chamber for receiving high temperature gas from the first combustor at a prescribed second combustor inlet temperature and a second burner. The gas turbine further includes; a turbine for receiving high temperature gas from the second combustor. In the method, the second combustor inlet temperature is reduced for base-load operation of the gas turbine and is increased when the gas turbine load decreases from the base-load to the partial load.
