    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet seat capable of sufficiently preventing adhesion of dirt penetrating into a stripe-like region on the joint face between a toilet seat front member and a toilet seat back member.
      SOLUTION: The toilet seat 1 is integrally formed of the toilet seat front member 2 and the toilet seat rear member 3 by joining the lower end face 2a of the synthetic resin toilet seat front member 2 and the upper end face 3a of the synthetic resin toilet seat rear member 3 by means of the ultrasonic fusion. The joint face between the lower end face 2a and the upper end face 3a is located on the side face of the toilet seat 1 and formed as the stripe-like region having a shallow groove shape to extend in the circumferential direction on the side face of the toilet seat 1. The stripe-like region is concealed by applying a coating material 5 to the stripe-like region. The coating material 5 may be transparent, or of the same or a different color as the color of the toilet seat front member 2 or toilet seat rear member 3.

The edge 21 of the seat back member 20 has a lower corner 24 which is rounded when welding. The toilet seat has a part of the lower end 15 of a side plate 14, a part of the edge 21 of the seat back member 20, and a cut face 50 cut and/or ground from the welded part 40 of the outer edge so that the welded part 40 on the opening 30 side remains. The lower end of the cut face 50 is continued with the lower corner 24.

Also, an erected part 3a is provided on the outer peripheral side edge part of the bottom member 3, and the corner part T on the bottom surface side on the outer peripheral side of the toilet seat 1 is constituted of the bottom member 3. Thus, in the state of not joining the bottom member 3, the back surface side of the surface member 2 is widely opened and the disposing work of the heater member H is facilitated.

A resin is injection-molded from the opposite side to the face provided with the heater grooves 3, it is integrally connected to the main body 1 to form a resin layer 5, and the opening face of the main body 1 is closed. A foamable resin is preferably used for the heat insulating material 2, and a resin compatible with the resin molded main body 1 and the heat insulating material 2 is preferably used for the resin layer 5.

    • PURPOSE:To generate high reliable adhesion by a method wherein the joining surfaces of both the cover part of a drainage trap made of thermoplastic synthetic resin and a body part are positioned flush with each other, the joints of the cover part and the body part are respectively heated by a hot plate to bring them into a molten state, and the two joints are brought into contact with each other for joining. CONSTITUTION:A body part 4 of a drainage trap is held at a stationary jig 6, and a cover part 2 is held at an operating jig 7. A hot plate 5 is then inserted between the static jig 6 and the operating jig 7 and the hot plate 5 is arranged between the joint of the cover part 2 and the joint of the body part 4. The operating jig 7 is moved to below to bring the joint of the cover part 2 into contact with the hot plate 5, and the hot plate 5 is moved to below to bring the hot plate 5 into contact with the joint of the body part 4. As a result, the two joints are molted. With the operating jig 7 moved to above, the hot plate 5 is pulled out. The operating jig 7 is moved to below again and the molten joint of the cover part 2 is pressed against the molten joint of the body part 4 to integrally form the two joints.
