    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle driving device that can suppress transmission shock while avoiding acceleration feeling loss during a speed change.SOLUTION: A vehicle driving device includes: an internal combustion engine 2; a first clutch 5 that connects and disconnects a rotary power from the internal combustion engine 2; a transmission 6 that can change rotation of an input shaft 21 into which rotary power from the first clutch is inpuit and transmit it to an output shaft 28, and can switch into a plurality of transmission stages by switch mechanisms 36-38; a differential device 7 into which the rotary power from the output shaft 28 is input and output it into right and left wheels 8, 9 to be differential; and a planetary gear set 4 that changes the rotary power from the internal combustion engine 2 and outputs it into the output shaft 28. The planetary gear set has a function for adjusting inertia of a predetermined gear (for example, 4e) in a set.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission having six or more stages of advancement which can set a reverse gear ratio appropriately without increasing the number of revolutions of a pinion in a high-speed gear-change stage.
      SOLUTION: The transmission 10 includes: a first planetary gear G1; a Ravigneaux-type gear unit G23 which connects ring gears R2 and R3 and also connects carriers PC2 and PC3 and which includes first to fourth shaft elements J1 to J4, the third shaft element J3 being connected to an output shaft 12; a first friction slide clutch element C1 which can couple a ring gear R1 to the fourth shaft element J4; a second friction slide clutch element C2 which can couple the ring gear R1 to the first shaft element J1; a third friction slide clutch element C3 which can couple an input shaft 11 to the second shaft element J2 without interposing a first-row double pinion planetary gear therebetween; a first friction brake element B1 which can secure the first shaft element J1; and a second friction brake element B2 which can secure the second shaft element J2.
