    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an insulation test for confirming abnormality between coils of different phases after connection of a neutral point of the coil.
      SOLUTION: A method for testing insulation in a manufacturing process of the coil for a rotary electrical machine includes: performing a mounting process for inserting each coil of an U phase, a V phase, and a W phase in a stator iron core firstly in manufacturing the stator coil while arranging inter-phase paper (step 101); performing a neutral point connection process for caulking and connecting the neutral point of each phase coil (step 102); performing a molding process for molding a coil end part (step 103); performing a process of a partial discharge test as an insulation test between different circuit coils of the same phase (step 104); and performing a process for forming a power source terminal (step 105); and next, carrying out a process of various electric tests (step 106). An impulse discharge test of (C) applies an impulse voltage between two phases of each phase coil, and verifies insulation abnormality between the different phases of each phase coil by detecting the existence of occurrence of partial discharge at the time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphase insulation sheet for a rotary electric machine, capable of preventing breakage during forming a coil end, as well as excellent in permeability for varnish dripped at the coil end.
      SOLUTION: This interphase insulation sheet 7 is composed of a pair of interphase insulation sheet bodies 7a which is roughly rectangular, and a joint streak portion 7b which is formed integrally with the interphase insulation sheet bodies so as to joint the pair of interphase insulation sheet bodies 7a. In this interphase insulation sheet bodies 7a, a trapezoid notch portion 8 is formed on a side in which the interphase insulation sheet bodies 7a face each other, and a bent portion 9 having a two-stage step is formed in a longitudinal direction (vertical direction in Fig. 1) of the interphase insulation sheet bodies 7a. With this constitution, the interphase insulation sheet bodies 7a can be expanded in the longitudinal direction, thus facilitating impregnating varnish dropped at the coil end 6.
