    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the entry of foreign matters from a breathing gap of a solenoid valve.
      SOLUTION: The solenoid valve comprises a solenoid portion 1 having a breathing gap around an area, through which a connection of a connector portion is introduced into an inner space of the solenoid portion, for leading between the inner space and the outer space thereof. A cover 4 is attached thereto for covering the gap. The cover is formed of a plate non-magnetic material and has mounting portions 41-43 for holding the connector portion 3 therebetween and a hook portion 45. The fitting of the solenoid portion to the cover is maintained by locking the hook portion to the connector portion. The entrty of an oil from the outside is prevented by the cover covering the breathing gap of the solenoid portion and the entry of the foreign matters mixed into the oil is prevented without changing the leading resistance of the breathing gap.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the generation of an engagement shock at a friction engagement element even if the discharge pressure of a pump is abruptly increased at the automatic start of a prime mover.SOLUTION: A D-pressure oil passage L4 connected to an input port 48a of a linear solenoid valve SL1 is made to communicate with a secondary pressure oil passage L2 via a drain oil passage L10 in which an orifice 71 is formed. By this, an abrupt increase of the drive pressure (line pressure PL) of the D-pressure oil passage L4 can be suppressed even if the discharge pressure of a mechanical oil pump 42 operated by the power of an engine is temporarily abruptly increased at the automatic start of the engine. As a result, since the abrupt increase of the input pressure of the linear solenoid valve SL1 is suppressed, the generation of an engagement shock of a clutch C1 resulting from the abrupt increase of the input pressure can be suppressed.
