摘要： PURPOSE:To achieve a higher durability of parts of a bending device while improving operability with a bending manipulation force being not so large by retaining both ends of a manipulating wire near the tip of a bending section and on a manipulator so that a manipulating wire is not pulled. CONSTITUTION:A manipulating section 3 is provided with a bending manipulator 30 for bending manipulation. A manipulating wire 24 and a tracting wire 33 are connected to a slack remover 35 to absorb slacking of the manipulating wire 24 on the slacking side. The slack remover 35 is made up of an outer cylinder 36 and a play piece 37 playable in the outer cylinder 36. Then, the tracting wire 33 is fastened on the outer cylinder 36 and the manipulating wire 24 is fastened on the play piece 37. In assembling, the play piece 37 is kept playing in the outer cylinder 36 with a bending part 11 and a flexible tube 10 both unstraight and hence, in the connecting of the manipulating wire 24, no tension works on the wire 24. This can reduce a tension working on the manipulating wire 24 at actual use significantly.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent excessive tension from being applied to an operating wire even if a flexible tube for forming an inserting part of the endoscope is bent like a loop by providing an elastic member on the way of a coil or in the end part so as to be compressed by tension generated in the operating wire, when a close winding coal is bent and its overall length becomes long. CONSTITUTION:As for a coil spring 10, a spring constant is large and its stiffness is strong, and to the inside periphery of both end parts, the outside periphery of the divided end of a close winding coil 9 is fixed by silver brazing, etc. Accordingly, the coil spring 10 scarcely contracts by the degree that an operating wire 4 is drawn to an operating part 5 side in order to execute a regular curvature operation. When the close winding coil 9 is bent greatly due to a fact that an inserting part 1 becomes a loop state, etc., the close winding coil 9 stretches and tension applied to the operating wire 4 increases, and the coil spring 10 is compressed, subjected to elastic deformation and contracted. In this case, tension of the operating wire 4 and repulsion against compression of the coil spring 10 become a balanced state, and tension applied to the operating wire 4 becomes small remarkably, comparing with the case when the coil spring 10 does not exist.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate centering adjustment and to reduce the size of mechanism by fixing a solid-state image pickup element to a frame body and adjusting finely the position of the optical axis of an objective about the frame body. CONSTITUTION:The endoscope is constituted by incorporating the objective 3 in a tip part main body 1 provided atop of an insertion part and has the solid-state image pickup element 10 arranged on its image formation surface; and the solid-state image pickup element 10 is fixed to the frame body 2 fixed in the tip part main body 1 and an optical axis adjusting means 6 is provided which adjusts finely the optical axis of the objective about the frame body 2. Consequently, the centering adjusting means 6 is only provided at the periphery of the objective 3 and the device is made compact as compared with a conventional device which has the means at the periphery of the solid-state image pickup element 10; and the tip part main body can be formed thinly and a patient is relived from the pain at the time of insertion into his or her body cavity.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to optical fiber bundle inserted/passed into/through the inside by penetrating an outer cover member from a gap of a helical tube of an innermost layer to a location which reaches the inside face of the helical tube, in a flexible tube constituted by arranging the helical tube at the innermost layer and forming an outer cover by hardening the outer cover member after the outer cover member is applied in a molten state. SOLUTION: In a flexible tube of an endoscope, a helical tube 11 is arranged on an innermost layer. The outside face of the helical tube 11 is coated with a braided tube 12 and the outside face of this braided tube 12 is coated with an outer cover 13. This outer cover 13 is formed by cooling and hardening a molten synthetic resin material (outer cover member) 1 after the synthetic resin material 1 is coated on the outside face of the braided tube 12 by an extrusion molding machine. Its external surface is coated with a chemical resistant coating. The outer cover member 1 penetrates gaps between pitches of the helical tube 11 from the meshes of the braided tube 12 at the time of a molten state and is hardened in a state that the head is stuck to the inside of the helical tube 11 from the gaps between the pitches of the helical tube 11. As a result, all the edge parts of the inside face of the helical tube 11 are covered with the outer cover member 1.
