An angle detector can be inserted into the first and second insertion holes to detect a rotation angle of an object. A magnet is magnetized in an insertion direction of the object, and has a magnetic pole surface where N-poles and S-poles are alternately arranged at equal intervals in a direction of turning the outer periphery of the object. The yoke includes a first yoke facing one magnetic pole surface and having a first magnetic pole claw, and a second yoke facing the other magnetic pole surface and having a second magnetic pole claw. When the first magnetic pole claw approaches one magnetic pole of the magnetic pole surface, the second magnetic pole claw approaches the other magnetic pole.

The microprocessor 24 may diagnose, on the basis of the first diagnosis signal and the second diagnosis signal, whether or not the electronic circuit is normally functioning.
