    • PURPOSE: To manufacture inexpensively an alloy thin sheet in excellent yield in a simplified manufacturing process by coating the different kind of metal on the thin metallic sheet and thereafter heating it in the nonoxidizing atmosphere.
      CONSTITUTION: Ni, Cr and Cu, etc. of the different kind of metals being these alloys are coated on the base material of thin sheet having about ≤300μ thick ness consisting of metals excellent in workability such as Fe, Al and Cu or these alloys. Electroplating and PVD or the like can be used for the coating method. Thereafter the base material is heated in the atmosphere of inert gas, reduction gas or vacuum and the coated metals are diffused into the base mate rial of thin sheet to form the alloy thin sheet having the required composition. The heating temp. is made to each m.p. and below of the base material of thin sheet, the coated metals and the manufactured alloy thin sheet and the interdiffusion coefficient of essential component elements forming the base material of thin sheet and the coated metals is preferably selected to about ≥10

    • PURPOSE:To produce inexpensively a channel steel by forming a web part and a pair of flange parts which have the same shape and are connected to each other linearly via projecting parts from a billet and bending the flange parts perpendicularly to the web part. CONSTITUTION:The billet is rolled by calibers 10 of an upper roll 8 and a lower roll 9 to form an intermediate product 2 having the web part 4 and a pair of the flange parts 6 which have the same wall thickness as the size of a product and are connected linearly to each other by projecting parts 6 formed perpendicularly to the points corresponding to corner angle parts 5. Recesses 7 having the radius of curvature of >=2 times the thickness of the parts 3 are preliminarily formed on the rear side of the parts 6. The product 2 is then sandwiched by pinch rollers and the flange parts 3 are stepwise formed by a projecting type roller 13 and a recessed type roller 14 disposed above and below and are thereby made perpendicular to the web part 4 without changing the thickness, by which the channel steel having the flange parts 3 parallel with each other is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To produce inexpensively a channel steel having good quality at high productivity by hot rolling a blank rolling material by means of plural sets of rolling rolls formed with calibers to form inclined flange parts on the outside and a projecting web part then subjecting the blank material to cold forming. CONSTITUTION:A billet 1 heated to a prescribed temp. is rolled by plural sets of rolling rolls which are disposed in parallel with each other, are rotated on at least either thereof by driving devices and are formed with prescribed calibers to form successively the flange parts and the web part. An intermediate product 2 having the W-shaped cross section consisting of a pair of the flange parts 3 inclined respectively toward the outside with respect to the perpendicular and the web part 4 made into a projecting shape and having the wall thickness of the flange parts 3 and the web part 4 approximately equal to the product size is obtd. The web part of the above-mentioned intermediate product 2 is cold- formed in at least two passes by plural sets of cold forming rolls disposed in parallel with each other, by which the channel steel having the parallel flange parts and the flat web part is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To coat a dissimilar metal with good productivity without using high grade facilities, binders, etc. by exposing a base metal above the temp. at which substitution reaction takes place to an atmosphere herein fine powder of metallic halide is suspending, at the stage of substituting the base material metal with the metallic halide. CONSTITUTION:In the case of causing, for example, cuprous chloride with an Al base material, the base material is heated to above about 370 deg.C. This temp. is lowered if fine powder of flux-mixed cuprous chloride such as ammonium chloride. Next, the base material is exposed to an atmosphere wherein the fine powder of cuprous chloride base is suspending formed by a fluidized bed method, a spray method or various other methods. If at this time the atmosphere is set at a heating state, the exposure time is reduced and productivity is improved. If there is possibility for oxidation of the fine powder, an inert gas such as Ar is used. The base material after the end of the substitution reaction is cooled, and the residues of the product of reaction or unreacted residues on the surface of the base metal are removed.
