摘要： PURPOSE:To produce inexpensively a channel steel having good quality at high productivity by hot rolling a blank rolling material by means of plural sets of rolling rolls formed with calibers to form inclined flange parts on the outside and a projecting web part then subjecting the blank material to cold forming. CONSTITUTION:A billet 1 heated to a prescribed temp. is rolled by plural sets of rolling rolls which are disposed in parallel with each other, are rotated on at least either thereof by driving devices and are formed with prescribed calibers to form successively the flange parts and the web part. An intermediate product 2 having the W-shaped cross section consisting of a pair of the flange parts 3 inclined respectively toward the outside with respect to the perpendicular and the web part 4 made into a projecting shape and having the wall thickness of the flange parts 3 and the web part 4 approximately equal to the product size is obtd. The web part of the above-mentioned intermediate product 2 is cold- formed in at least two passes by plural sets of cold forming rolls disposed in parallel with each other, by which the channel steel having the parallel flange parts and the flat web part is obtd.

摘要： PURPOSE:To transfer and mount a heavy steel ingot by interposing the subject device between a crane with which the steel ingot is transferred and a truck as an ingot placing part on which the steel ingot transferred with the crane is placed and turning horizontally and transferring and mounting the vertical steel ingot. CONSTITUTION:A rotary body 3 is made vertical and also a claw part 5 is closed. In that state, the steel ingot is inserted into the ingot holding space 35 with vertical position from the ingot inserting space 34 of the rotary body with the crane U. Thereupon, the steel ingot is placed with vertical position on the ingot placing part 38. Then, the steel ingot in the ingot holding space 35 is horizontally turned by laying horizontally the rotary body 3 by the revolution of a rotating mechanism 6. Because a drive part for claw is driven under that state, the claw part 5 is opened and the steel ingot is separated from the claw part and the steel ingot in the ingot holding space 35 is transferred and mounted on the truck R as the ingot placing part. Thereby, the vertical steel ingot can be automatically transferred and mounted in horizontal position on the ingot placing part.
