    • PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a dental prosthesis capable of preventing the breakage of a dental prosthesis resulted from a scratch generated at the time of cutting and polishing the sprue line of a casted material. CONSTITUTION:A sprue line 12 is planted on the cheek side surface 13 of a wax pattern 11. A casting mold is formed by use of the wax pattern 11. Into the obtained casting mold, glass ceramics is casted. Thereafter, heating treatment is conducted with determined temperature and time, and the glass ceramics is crystallized to provide a casted material having a wax pattern part having the form corresponding to the wax pattern 11 and a sprue line part having the form corresponding to the sprue line 12. After the sprue line part of the casted material is cut and polished, porcelain having a thermal expansion coefficient nearly equal to that of the glass ceramics is baked so as to cover the surface area of the wax pattern part to which the sprue line part is connected, and a dental prosthesis is provided.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the dental prosthetic appli ance which can produce the dental prosthetic appliance having an excellent aesthetic property and high mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:A core material 12 formed by casting and molding castable ceramics in accordance with the conventional method, then subjecting the molding to a crystallization treatment by heating the molding at 920 deg.C is disposed on an abutment tooth pattern 11. A porcelain mixture 13 prepd. by mixing porcelain 'Bitadule-N(R)' produced by Bita Co., porcelain 'Duceram(R)' correction powder (K) produced by Ducera Co., and low fusing graze material 'Ceracom Fine Grating Stain(R)' produced by Ceracom Co., at 7:2:1 weight ratio is then built up. After this mixture is cried for minutes at 600 deg.C, the mixture is heated up to 905 deg.C at 50 deg.C ratio per minute under a reduced pressure (760mmHg). The molding is then held for 30 minutes at 905 deg.C and is slowly cooled in the atm., by which the dental prosthetic appliance 10 is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the title material having adequate therapeutic effects with the liquid drug sustainedly releasable over a long period of time, by covering a ceramic porous part with a second ceramic porous part with its pore size and porosity smaller than those of the former part. CONSTITUTION:The objective material 1 impregnated with a specified liquid drug in advance and to sustainedly release the drug in such a slate as to be embedded near the affected sites in vivo, can be obtained by covering the first porous part (esp. a spherical porous form 2 of high porosity) made of a ceramic member (e.g. highly biocompatible beta-calcium phosphate) with the second porous form (esp. a porous form 3 of low porosity) made of a second ceramic member with its pore size and/or porosity smaller than those of the first porous part. Change in the properties of the first and second porous parts can control their liquid drug impregnation degrees and sustained release capabilities. The present material can be put to long-term therapeutic use for affected sites by sustainedly releasing a liquid drug such as antibiolic or carcinostatic.
