    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-protecting air bag device capable of developing and inflating a portion to be a front side of a gas inflow port part and a portion to be a rear side so that inflation completion time may be substantially equal, even if disposing an inflator on an upper edge side of a window at a vehicle interior side of a vehicle and disposing the gas inflow port part at a substantially intermediate portion in front and rear directions of an air bag. SOLUTION: Two gas injection holes 57 and 58 are formed in the vicinity of a vertical pipe part 55 in a diffuser 52. Opening area A of the first gas injection hole 57 on an original part side of a horizontal pipe part 54 and opening area B of the second gas injection hole 58 on a side away from the original part side of the horizontal pipe part 54 are set to be within a range of an expression shown by b/a>B/A when taking volume of a portion of an inflation shielding part to be a side adjacent to the original part side of the horizontal pipe part 54 and volume of a portion of the inflation shielding part to be a side away from the original part side of the horizontal pipe part 54 as (a) and (b), respectively, by making the gas inflow port part 15 as a boundary.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head protecting air bag device capable of ensuring a quick development completion of the air bag and reducing manufacturing man-hours and costs. SOLUTION: This head protecting having air bag device has a constitution of an air bag 12 having an expansion shielding part 19 consisting of a plurality of longitudinal expansion parts 21. On the upper edge side of the shielding part 19, a gas supply passage part 16 capable of guiding gas G for inflation from an inflator 49 to each expansion part 21 is disposed along the front/rear direction of a vehicle. A gas inflow port part 17 that is connected to the inflator 49 is disposed at a part excluding the vicinity of an upper end and a rear end of the passage part 16. Nearly directly under the inflow port part 17, a first longitudinal expansion part 22 that connects the upper end side to the passage part 16 is disposed. On the front and rear side of the first expansion part 22, second and third longitudinal expansion parts 23.24 are disposed with their upper edge sides blocked by a connection part 33 that constitutes the lower edge side of the passage part 16 to be laid along the front/rear direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag capable of maintaining, by a simple wrapping operation, a state of folding of an air bag body over an approximately entire length of the air bag body, and preventing development/expansion of the air bag from being stagnated at vehicular collision. SOLUTION: The air bag 10 comprises the air bag body 11, and breakable wrapping materials 25, 26 for preventing breaking of a folded state. After the air bag body 11 is folded to be an approximately bar-like shape, the wrapping materials 25, 26 constituted of lengthy materials having flexibility are wrapped around an outer periphery over the approximately entire length of the air bag body 11 so as to be along an axial direction X of the air bag body 11 and so as to obliquely intersect the axial direction X. The wrapping materials 25, 26 are wrapped around the air bag body 11 so that at least one of the winding start portion and winding end portion thereof does not touch a folded portion of the air bag body 11.
