    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-resistance effect type head in which noise is reduced and which has an excellent high frequency characteristic with high yield by suppressing noise resulting from a level difference of an upper shield layer or a lower shield layer and by reducing a capacitance in the magneto-resistance effect type head of a CPP structure.
      SOLUTION: The magneto-resistance effect type head is configured so that a first lead conductor 31 is electrically connected to the lead connection part 113 of a lower shield layer whose width is equal to or shorter than the maximum length of a track direction of the lower layer 111 in the same plane or the conductor 31 is electrically connected to the connection part 113 of the lower layer whose height is equal to or shorter than the maximum length of the element height direction of the layer 111. Thus, it can be prevented that a level difference is caused in an upper shield layer 12 by the first lead conductor 31 and magnetic domain structure becoming a noise causing source is formed by its level difference and also it is possible to make the lead conductor 31 and the upper shield player 12 so as not to be overlapped with each other.
