    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED module capable of constituting a light source device with simple wiring. SOLUTION: The LED module includes: an insulating substrate 2 of a plate type; a first main terminal 3 and a first sub-terminal 5 for connection with external circuits formed near a first edge portion of the insulating substrate 2; a second main terminal 4 and a second sub-terminal 6 for connection with the external circuits formed near a second edge portion countering the first edge portion of the insulating substrate 2; three or more wirings 11-19 for connection purposes formed on the insulating substrate 2 to connect in series LEDs 1 continuously arranged at intervals; a plurality of LEDs 1 connected in series, each connected in the same direction between adjoining wirings for connection; and a first passage wirings 8, formed on the insulating substrate 2 to electrically connect the first sub-terminal 5 and the second sub-terminal 6. A first wiring for connection 11 located on one end side of the wiring for connection is connected to the first main terminal 3, and a second wiring for connection 19 located on the other end side of the wiring for connection is connected to the second main terminal 4.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can be manufactured at a low cost and whose image quality improves at the same time.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel; a backlight which irradiates the liquid crystal display panel with light by periodically repeating lighting on/off; a backlight control unit which performs drive control of the backlight; and a panel control unit which performs scan driving of the liquid crystal display panel on the basis of an input image signal. The panel control unit performs scan driving of the liquid crystal display panel in a drive mode selected from between a first drive mode and a second drive mode. Scanning time for one frame by the second drive mode is shorter than scanning time for one frame by the first drive mode, and the second drive mode satisfies the following formula: i) TFM=TSC+TBK, and ii) 1/2TFM≥TBK≥TBL≥TFM×0.05, (TFM: frame period time, TSC: scanning time, TBK: blanking time, and TBL: backlight lighting time).

A first connecting wiring 11, located on one edge side of connecting wiring, is connected to the main terminal 3, and the second connecting wiring 19, located on another edge side of the connecting wiring, is connected with the second main terminal 4.
