    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device having a low-cost and easy-to-fabricate structure and capable of narrowing an oscillation line width, as a light source device having a variable oscillation wavelength.SOLUTION: The light source device has: a collimator lens 102 collimating outgoing light of semiconductor optical amplification medium; a diffraction grating 103 giving the collimated light flux an angle dispersion different for a wavelength; a condenser lens 104 collecting the light flux to which the angle dispersion is given to a position different for the wavelength; and wavelength selection means having reflection parts or transmission parts that scan in a focal plane by the condenser lens and reflect or transmit light having a part of wavelengths. In the wavelength selection means, the reflection parts or the transmission parts formed to have such a uniform width having an optical power are arranged on a rotatable circular plate-shaped substrate. In accordance with rotation of the circular plate-shaped substrate, a wavelength of the outgoing light reflected or transmitted by the reflection parts or the transmission parts is changed to a light collection spot by the condenser lens that is provided on a surface of the circular plate-shaped substrate, and thereby, the light source device is made operate as a wavelength sweeping light source.
