    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which certainly and stably suppresses the variation of density in a unit region and outputs an image without density variation even if a recording position shifts between two or more recording scans in a case of a multipath recording, and also to provide a recording method.
      SOLUTION: Image data of many gradations is converted into two or more dot arrangement patterns which have defined the record or non-record of dot to each area according to the level. After that, these two or more dot arrangement patterns are repeatedly recorded on a recording medium by a recording scan with different recording head. In this case, two or more dot arrangement patterns are determined so that the change of proportion of overlapping area may decrease as compared with the case of dots being arranged exclusively even in a case where these two or more dot arrangement patterns are shifted each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus according to which, when the inkjet recording apparatus is in an environment in which dust such as paper dust is easily attached to the periphery of an ejection port in a recording head, the recording head is subjected to a recovery operation depending on the level of the attached dust, and to provide a recording head recovery method.SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus includes: a cutter means for cutting a recording medium; and a recovery means for performing the recovery operation by wiping the ejection port formation part at which the ejection port is formed of the recording head while sucking the ejection port formation part. When the passing number showing how many times the cut part of the recording medium cut by the cutter passes the recording position is equal to or higher than a threshold value, the recovery means subjects the recording head to the recovery operation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form image data which reduces connection stripes produced, since dots are formed while shifting in the carrying direction of a recording medium or nozzle arrangement direction from the regular position in an image forming apparatus.
      SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus corrects image data to be quantized using the data after quantization of pixel upper by one raster as a correction value before quantizing the image data of pixels P1 to Pn. Namely, the quantization result of the pixel upper by one raster of the pixel P1 is a black pixel (pixel recording a dot), and the quantization result of the pixel upper by one raster of the pixel P2 is a white pixel (pixel not recording a dot). A dot is made to be recorded also on the pixel P1 by the correction for image data of the pixel P1 whose upper side is a black pixel. On the contrary, the dot is not made to be recorded in the pixel P2 in the correction for image data of the pixel P2 whose upper side is a white pixel.
