    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately predict and determine a service life of a recording head by obtaining variation of driving conditions of the recording head, in an inkjet recording device.SOLUTION: A difference between a re-measured optimum driving condition and an initial optimum driving condition of the recording head that is used is calculated (S406). Next, it is determined whether or not the difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value (S407). When the difference is equal to or greater than the threshold value, it is determined that a durable life of the recording head has reached an end, replacement of the recording head is prompted and this processing is ended. A variation amount of the optimum driving condition is obtained in advance when the service life of the recording head ends, and the varying amount is set to the predetermined threshold value. By a determination based on the threshold value, the service life of the recording head is determined and predicted. Thus, the service life of the recording head is accurately predicted and determined.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processor, allowing efficient correction of a specific portion included in image data or an input image file. SOLUTION: In one embodiment of this image processing method, the original photographic image file is obtained (S301), and face area information is obtained when the face area information is accompanied by the original photographic image file (S304). Next, based on the obtained face area information, a first decoding area is determined (S305), and the first decoding area is decoded about the original photographic image file (S306) to generate first image data after the decoding (S306). Next, a red-eye area is detected from the generated first image data after the decoding (S312), and specific portion position information related to a position of the red-eye area is obtained (S313). Next, the original photographic image file is decoded to generate second image data after the decoding (S314), and a red eye is corrected to the second image data after the decoding based on the obtained specific portion position information (S315).
