摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate ship control by means of a movable jet cylinder wholly covered with an elastic rubber body, pulled up onboard during running and having the tip to be lowered underwater in bringing the ship alongside, which blows out pressurized water through a jet nozzle attached to the cylinder tip so as to allow parallel movement of the ship using the reaction of the pressurized water. SOLUTION: In bringing the starboard alongside, a motor 7 is revolved by operating the control device to rotate a worm gear 8. A gear 9 engaged with the worm gear is rotated. Then, a movable jet cylinder 5 directly connected to the gear 9 is turned by 90 degrees to be lowered underwater, and the pump is driven to produce pressurized water. When the control valve on the port side is opened, the pressured water from the pump passes through the control valve to a port side water supply pipe 4, then to a conduit 10 inside the movable jet cylinder 5 located on the fore and rear port side from the rotary shaft of the gear 9. Then the pressurized water is blown out through a jet nozzle 6. The ship's body is moved in parallel to the right due to the reaction of the pressurized water, thereby brought alongside the pier.
