摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a workpiece by measuring the surface temperature of the workpiece being subjected to peening, operating the residual stress value of the workpiece from the measured surface temperature and carrying out shot peening. CONSTITUTION:When shot grains S which are discharged out of a shot grain discharging part 2 at a high speed collide against a workpiece X on a rotary jig 1, surface hardening takes place due to compression deformation while temperature rises. This surface temperature is measured by an infrared temperature measuring device 3 and based on the measured value, the value of a residual stress which is generated on the surface of the workpiece X is calculated by an operating part 4 and indicated by a display part 5, while a control part 8 controls the drive of the shot grain discharging part 2 based on the operated value. Thereby, a desired residual stress can be given easily and accurately improving the quality of the workpiece.

摘要： PURPOSE:To effectively and easily remove the soot generated in a gaseous raw material supply part by connecting a pressurized air supply pipe to a gaseous raw material supply path and supplying the pressurized air in synchronization with the door opening in the stage of charging a work. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a heat treatment furnace 1 is controlled to a prescribed temp. by a heater 20. The gases from a gaseous hydrocarbon source 7 and an oxidative gas source 8 are mixed to a prescribed ratio and the mixture is supplied through the gas supply pipe 5 and supply path 4 into the furnace 1 where the heat treatment of the work X is executed in a prescribed atmosphere. A stop valve 6 for the gas supply pipe 5 is closed to open a stop valve 10 for the pressurized air supply pipe 11 when the soot is generated in the path 4 or in synchronizing with the door opening for charging of the work X. As a result, the pressurized air is fed from the path 4 and the soot in the path 4 is forcibly removed.

CONSTITUTION:A crankshaft of a ferrite base fine graphite cast iron which has a tensile strength more than 25kg/mm and is obtained by metal mold casting and the like and a crankshaft of an ordinary cast iron are machine roughly, annealed for removing distortion 600 deg.CX2hr, and nitrosulphurized 520-570 deg.CX0.5hr after finishing machining so as to generate a compound of about 5mum. As a result, in contrast with the crankshaft of the ordinary cast iron has a straightness less than 4.5mu10 , the crank-shaft of the ferrite base fine graphite cast iron has a straightness less than 1.5X10 or excellent accuracy. Thus, the nitrosulphurized compound layer is generated on the surface of the ferrite base fine graphite cast iron, so that the abrasion resistance of a crankshaft can be improved, therefore an efficient rotary compressor can be manufactured at low cost.

It is thus possible to improve abrasion resistance by utilizing the carbide deposition layer of the tappet crown surface 1a.
