    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elbow product with necks which is excellent in dimensional property regardless of a neck length by suppressing the occurrence of an ellipse and thickness deviation over the entire length of a neck part and a bent part.
      SOLUTION: This method is a method for forming an elbow with both necks by applying bending work by holding a tube stock by bending means following to diameter reducing work using a symmetric die while punching the tube stock inserted into a guide tube successively or continuously from the inserting side. In this method of manufacturing the elbow with necks, when reducing the diameters of the neck parts, the wall-thickness of the tube stock is thickened uniformly in the peripheral direction by using the symmetric die and a straight tube part of a prescribed length is punched without holding the bending means and, successively, when reducing the diameter of the bent part, the wall-thickness on the outer peripheral side of the bend of the tube stock is thickened as comparing with the wall-thickness on the inner peripheral side of the bend by switching the symmetric die to an eccentric die and simultaneously bending work is applied until reaching the prescribed bending angle by holding the tube stock by the bending means.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscous liquid applying die and an applying method for viscous liquid using the die in which the applied state of the liquid on the outer surface of a tube is uniform and applying efficiency is good. SOLUTION: A uniform film is formed of a viscous liquid 4 applied on the outer surface of a tube 5 of a viscous liquid applying die 3 fed in the axial direction without being rotated, and an approach section 3a has a tapered face 31, and its taper angle (both angles) is 0.5-15 deg., and its bearing section 3b is formed by a parallel face 3s formed continuously on the approach section and an arc face 3e formed on the downstream side in the tube feed direction. Also the viscous liquid 4 is applied on the outer surface of the tube 5 fed straight in the axial direction without rotating the tube 5, and then the liquid is drawn by the above-mentioned coating die 3 to form a uniform film on the outer surface of the tube 5. The application of the viscous liquid 4 onto the outer surface of the tube 5 can be carried out by the flowing method for one side above the tube 5.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the seizing from being generated by making the circumferential distortion of the whole surface of a female screw being screwed in a valve which is the tensile distortion proportional to the valve tightening force, generating no axial distortion, and making the tensile distortion as main part even when the axial distortion is generated. CONSTITUTION: The outer circumferential wall of a valve fitting screw part 2 corresponding to a lower side part at least in the axial direction of a female screw 3 is cut to make the wall thickness of this part smaller than that of the upper side part. When the relationship between the valve tightening torque at the screw part 2 and the circumferential and axial distortions is measured, the circumferential distortion is approximately increased in a linear manner in response to the increase of the valve tightening torque in any thread of the female screw 3. The distortion is not concentrated at one point, and the seizing with this concentrated point as the starting point can be prevented. The axial distortion is small compressive distortion at the third and eleventh threads, while tensile distortion is mainly generated at the first and eighth threads. This is also the cause to remove the seizing.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a branch pipe excellent in quality by forming a projecting part at the outer-surface side of a pipe by a plug attached laterally to a mandrel through the mandrel inserted in a flat pipe stock and providing a branching work of plug-drawing method to the projecting part. CONSTITUTION:A primary flat pipe 23 obtained by pressing a round pipe stock by flat dies 21, 22, is turned by 90 deg. to make its major axis vertical, and a plug 24 attached to a mandrel 25 inserted in the pipe 23 is set by directing the plug 24 to the die hole 26 of die 22; the pipe 23 is pressed in this state to force the plug 24 from the pipe inner surface into the wall-thiciness direction through the mandrel 25 in order to obtain a secondary flat pipe 27 having a projecting part 28 formed at the pipe outer-surface of a predetermined part of branching. Next, the pipe 27 is hot formed by dies 35, 35, to correct its out of roundness in order to obtain a pipe 38 of predetermined shape having a round main part 2'. Next, after removing the mandrel 25 and the plug 24, the part 28 is drawn by a drawing plug 10 to form a branch part 3', and required machining is provided to the part 3' to finish the pipe 38 into a branch pipe.
