摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic thickness measuring method by which the thickness of even an uneven surface from corrosion or the like can be accurately measured. SOLUTION: When an ultrasonic wave is applied to an uneven surface caused by corrosion or the like for the measurement of the thickness, a measurement error is corrected by an information obtained through S echo. In a typical embodiment, the quantity 5 (ΔT) of increase in duration 9 (TT) of an S echo 6 of an object to be measured to the duration 4 (TR) of an S echo 1 of a comparison test piece having a smooth measuring surface is obtained, and the obtained value is multiplied by a proportional constant (α) to obtain a measurement error estimate. The measurement error estimate is removed from a thickness measured value obtained by an R-B1 method, thereby correcting a measurement error produced when an ultrasonic wave is applied to the uneven surface to be measured caused by corrosion or the like to measure the thickness accurately.
