    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder sleeper for ballast, which can surely and effectively inhibit displacement of a ladder track by making the ladder track possess sufficient longitudinal resistance of the ballast, and the ladder track for the ballast, using the ladder sleeper.SOLUTION: A longitudinal resistance member elongated downward is integrally disposed on an undersurface of a longitudinal beam 2 and/or an undersurface of an end closure beam 3. Thus, longitudinal resistance of ballast in a longitudinal direction of a railroad track is increased. For example, the longitudinal resistance member is a concrete protrusion 11, a reinforcement 12 protruded in a U-shape, a rubber pad 13, or pieces 14-16 of shape steel, which are bound to an insert, embedded in the undersurface of the longitudinal beam and/or the undersurface of the end closure beam, by means of a bolt 17.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe for eddy current examination capable of always keeping lift-off between the probe and a measuring object constant, acquiring an action effect similar to the case of holding vertically without intentionally holding the probe vertically, and thereby quickly performing accurate and precise measurement without requiring any skill in an eddy current examination work.
      SOLUTION: This probe has a characteristic wherein the tip part facing to the measuring object is a curved face part 2 and a primary side coil 4 is filled therein, and an air chamber 3 bent along the curved face is provided inside the curved face part 2. The clearance of the air chamber 3 usually has the width of about 1-2 mm, and plays the roll for securing the constant lift-off during measurement. Since the tip part is the curved face part 2, an influence can be avoided in the eddy current direction, and a magnetic field generated by the primary side coil can be utilized effectively. As the primary side coil 4, a coil formed by arranging two transversely-wound coils 5, 6 in the orthogonal state and rounding them is preferably used.
