      SOLUTION: The chip component aligning and supplying device includes a transfer means 3 for moving the works carried via a first carrying passage 4 in an X-direction and transferring them to the entrance of a second carrying passage 5, and the second carrying passage 5 for carrying the transferred works in a Y-direction. The transfer means 3 moves the works in the X-direction while applying air suction thereto, and then transfers them to the entrance of the second carrying passage 5 while canceling the air suction. The works are carried while being floated by jetting air obliquely upward from fine holes formed in the carrying surface of the second carrying passage 5 in the Y-direction, and then supplied to the next process.
