摘要： PURPOSE: To achieve low noise by communicating an entrance conduit of an open center type power assisted control valve with a return conduit through a bypass valve, and operating the bypass valve to restrict a flow passage when pressure difference between both conduits exceeds a specified value. CONSTITUTION: An open center type power asisted control valve 4 in which working fluid supplied from an engine-driven pump 2 is introduced to an entrance conduit 3 is controlled in accordance with steering torque applied to an input part 5 of it for controlling fluid flow to a double acting cylinder device 6. Fluid from the control valve goes through a return conduit 7 to be returned to a sump 1. In this case, the entrance conduit 3 and the return conduit 7 are connected to each other to be communicated through a bypass valve 8. For this bypass valve 8, a valve member 9 is displaced against a spring 10 to restrict fluid flow when pressure difference between both conduits 3, 7 exceeds a specified value, and a flow ratio of fluid usable at the control valve 4 is gradually increased.
