    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To at least double the power density applied to the product to be treated without a risk of arc discharge.
      SOLUTION: An energy applicator has at least one cavity resonator that extends around a waveguide GO, and is comprised of two main portions: an upper portion PS whose side duct CH which must be close to the reactor in order to prevent electromagnetic waves from leaking out, and a lower portion PI whose shape flares toward the waveguide to prevent arc discharge. The energy applicator is appropriate for treatment of compounds (with a low dielectric constant) that hardly absorb electromagnetic waves, since it increases absorbed power significantly with a large production gain. Regardless of fatty or non-fatty alcohols (oleic alcohol, glycol, glycerol, mannitol, sorbitol, polyglycerols, vitamins, and the like), carboxylic acids, amines and similar compounds can be treated under static or dynamic conditions.
