SOLUTION: This food material is characterized by comprising soybean protein powder, gluten and Plantago asiatica seed coat powder, not containing saccharides, and containing the proteins as a main ingredient. The food material may further contain roasted wheat hull powder. It is preferable that the weight ratio of the soybean protein powder to the gluten is 8:2 to 5:5. It is preferable that the content of the Plantago asiatica seed coat powder is 0.25 to 1.0 wt.% based on the total amount of the Plantago asiatica seed coat powder and the gluten.
