    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matching transformer for a high frequency heater which is suitable as a matching transformer for high frequency heater to be used for a pressure welding apparatus of a metallic bar such as a rebar, facilitates dealing with a high-frequency cable or a water supply hose for supplying cooling water, and can be easily handled.
      SOLUTION: The transformer is provided with a cylindrical body cylinder housing a matching transformer body; a front lid for sealing the front end opening of the body cylinder and provided so that an external output connection terminal connected to a secondary winding of the matching transformer body pierces; a lead wire housing section for housing a flexible lead wire electrically connected to a primary winding of the matching transformer body in the rear end portion of the body cylinder; and a movable lid for sealing the rear end opening of the body cylinder, provided so that an external input connection terminal connected to the flexible lead wire pierces, and coupled rotatably in a direction perpendicular to its axial direction. An induction heating coil of the high-frequency heater is connected to the external output connection terminal, and the high-frequency cable connected to a high-frequency power source is connected to the external input connection terminal.

The metallic bevel pieces 3 are provided with a cut-off part 3a in a position of neighboring the backing material 5, and the bevel surface 4a is made to expose a portion contacting the backing material 5 and a neighboring portion thereof to a lateral side by the cut-off part 3a.
