    • PURPOSE:To surely implement picture recording processing by detecting a position of an oscillating guide acted by a progressing torque of a recording medium on a recessed circular-arc guide so as to activate the picture recorder thereby allowing the recording medium to be surely in close contact onto the recessed circular-arc guide with simple configuration. CONSTITUTION:Drive circuits 51A, 51B start a motor with a command of a scanning control section 52 to drive supply and feed rollers 13, 16 thereby leading a raw sensitive member S1 from a hopper 11 and carrying the member onto a photosensing drum 15. When the start part of the raw sensitive member S1 is pressed into contact with a guide plate 19 to lift up the plate 19, the motor is tentatively stopped, the lift-up of the guide plate 19 is sensed by a close contact sensor to recognize that the raw sensitive member S1 is in close contact onto an inner surface of the photosensing drum 15 and the result is informed to a scanning control section 52. Then picture information from a CCD 31 is recorded as a light beam via a picture processing section 32 by a command of the control section 52. Thus, the raw sensitive member S1 is surely in close contact with the inner surface of the guide and after it is detected, the recording is processed and the picture is surely recorded.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure that phototypesetting is performed easily and at low cost and information can be preserved in storage for re-editing by entering matrix information from a phototypesetting means and composition information from an external input means respectively to a control processor of a manual phototype composition machine. CONSTITUTION:A typesetting system S is composed of a manual phototype composition machine 10 connected to an external input/output machine 100 with document editing function such as a personal computer. In the photo-type composition machine 10, a feed control part 13 is activated using a control processor 12 operated by a phototype composition input part 11 to drive X and Y axis drive parts 14, 15. Subsequently, a travel lens 16 can be moved in a X-Y direction, and at the same time, a magazine 17 can be rotated in a Y-Y direction. In addition, the character disc of a matrix pattern which receives light from a lift source 20 is moved to a desired position using a control processor 12 to select a desired character. In addition, character information is transmitted to the travel lens 16 through an optical means 30 and thereby an image is formed on a light-receiving sheet 17A loaded in the magazine 17.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce processing manpower remarkably by automatically regulating the arrangement of character based on information relevant to total row length of an input character pattern, number of rows in a print area, series of character, and the like. CONSTITUTION:When correction processing is commanded at an input section 30, total row length is divided based on commands of the series of character pattern, the number of characters and the number of rows while furthermore pitch of character and line space are adjusted and an operation is performed so that an unsightly margin does not occur at the end of sentence. Resulting character series is then displayed at once in a rectangular area between the head line H and the target line T of a display 33. When the confirmed character series is printed, a print command is manually inputted to actuate a drive control section 16 which then operates driving sections 12-14 to execute positional correction. Subsequently, an appropriate shutter 8 is driven intermittently to typeset in rectangular box shape on a sensitive member 11.

    • PURPOSE:To surely restrain a transferring means, which freely moves on a floor by means of a rolling wheel or the like, by providing an inhibiting body, which abuts on the floor and can restrain the movement of the transferring means, on the floor in a freely pressure-touchable manner. CONSTITUTION:When this invention is applied to a transferring device 1 for a character magazine, which is used for a phototype setting machine, an inhibiting means 30 is constituted with an operating part 31 and an inhibiting part 41, and the operating part 31 elevates or lowers an intermediate lever 312 through vertical operation of an operating handle 311, so that two sets of inhibiting parts 41, which are connected to the bottom end of the lever 312, can be operated at a single stroke. In addition, the inhibiting part 41 is provided with an inhibiting lever 412, which is pivotally supported in a freely shakable manner by each one of four supporting legs 5, which are radially extended from a supporting cylinder 4 to support it, taking a pin 411 as a fulcrum, in addition to an inhibiting body 414, which hangs down from the outer end of each inhibiting body 412 via a connecting piece 413 and is equipped with an antislipping body 415 at its bottom. Thus, the inhibiting part 41 can oscillate linked with the vertical movement of the intermediate lever 312, while the antislipping body 415 can freely abut with pressure on a floor surface F.

    • PURPOSE:To enable character types of different sizes to be set in a circle with high accuracy by employing a circular setting control logic with a host controller which seeks a reference coordinate and a central character position in a circular setting system based on setting instructions, then controlling a movement and rotation device using a control device in accordance with a command from the host controller. CONSTITUTION:If instructions for circular setting of the type are given by a command input part 61, a host controller checks whether the typesetting should be performed in a circumferential direction (lateral set) or a radial direction(vertical set), and obtains a center radius sc1, a shift angle delta1 and a center angle from a present reference position radius Rso based on data such as Rso, new character width Qw1 and character height h1, if the typesetting is to be performed in the radial direction. Next, data is calculated within a circular setting system control logic provided in the host controller 62 to issue an activation command to a pulse motor control part 63. Subsequently, the character center position is moved from the present to a new position (Rsc1 position, thetasc1 position). At the same time, an image rotation prism 78 is caused to rotate so that an image is directed to the circle center.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to apply a top-center system to a circumferential (cross) and also to radial (vertical) photocomposition in a circular composition by determining standard coordinates and character center positions in a top-center system based on the top-center instructions from the outside and controlling a transfer means and an image-rotation means using a control means of the transfer means based on instructions from a host controller. CONSTITUTION:When a circular composition of circumferential direction is functioning wherein characters are positioned at standard coordinates Rto5, thetato7 in a top-center system, the lower left end of character is in contact with a standard line lo,1 14 and at the same time the center of the character is on a radius Rto,1. In the case of a radial composition, the center position of character 10 is determined in such a way that the lower end of the center of character 10 is determined in such a way that the lower end of the center of character is positioned at a top-center standard position, whereby the character is moved thereto as shown by the arrow A. Further, after the character has been moved, rotation of image is controlled by meann of a prism 78 for rotating image so that the image is turned in a radial direction with respect to the cetner position 10. The arithmetic processing is conducted in a circular- composition top-center system control-logic 79 provided in the host controller 62, thereby outputting motion instructions to a pulse motor control unit 63.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the magnification switching action of a displayed image at a high speed by providing a minified image memory unit and an image memory unit in series, and loading data reduced by half the original volume in the minified image memory at the same time as data is loaded into the image memory unit. CONSTITUTION:First data such as the characters and symbols of a dial face 3 loaded through a photography section 19, is stored in a digitized memory unit 21 as a temporary data storage through a serial/parallel conversion section 20. Next, this stored data writes data in buffer memory 26 or blank print memory 30 in accordance with given purposes, if the former receives a command from a display control section 25. In addition, data such as guide-lines which are required for printing plate setting but are not yet used for printing are loaded in an image memory unit 27 by the display control section 25 based on an instruction given by the data entered from an input section 23 into a control section 22. In this case, the content of the mentioned data is loaded in a minified image memory unit 101 upon an instruction given by the display control section 25 after the reduction of said content to half its original volume.
