Triclosan is effective for eliminating bacilli and is highly safe to a human body and clothing. In addition, triclosan is extremely hardly soluble in water and there exists no possibility of a large amount of elution at a time so that it can be kept at a specified concentration or lower without a special control. Therefore, elimination of the bacilli can be performed without complicating the mechanism.

SOLUTION: The washing machine 1 is provided with a water purifier 30 to cause water to be circulated back to a spinning tub 13 via the water purifier 30 starting from the spinning tub 13 in the course of the washing process. Rinsing is executed by diluting water in the spinning tub 13 with the purified water. The spinning tub 13 is a bore-less type in which the rotation thereof makes the internal water rise on the internal wall to be discharged over the upper end part of the tub. By controlling the rotation of the spinning tub 13, the water in the spinning tub 13 is moved to a space between the tub 13 and an outer tank 11. During the circulation of the water, the spinning tub 13 repeats the reversion of the rotation and a sudden stop. The water staying in the pace between the tub 13 and the outer tank 11 is stirred up by the rotation of the tub 13.
