    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust operation of a gear grinding machine so as to positively correcting a tooth profile error or a total alignment error on a ground gear if any.
      SOLUTION: To correct the tooth profile error on the ground gear, a grinding tool angle of a screw-shaped grinding tool 3 is corrected by dressing with a dressing apparatus 10. To correct the total alignment error on the ground gear, that is, to correct a helix angle of the gear, synchronizing operation of Z-direction movement of the screw-shaped grinding tool 3 with rotational movement of a table 4 for mounting the gear is adjusted. The correction of the total alignment error by the synchronizing operation inevitably generates tooth profile deformation, therefore the tooth profile error is corrected by dressing in consideration of the tooth profile deformation.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an automatic meshing method and apparatus for a gear grinding machine which can re-clamp a gear to be ground in the optimum eccentric position where the eccentricity of a gear to be ground is minimum without re-inputting data on a gear to be ground and timing of energizing a solenoid clutch even in the case where a gear to be ground having different data is installed. CONSTITUTION:A peak detecting circuit 106 detects the peak of load electric power of a grinding wheel spindle motor 38. On the other hand, an addition circuit 112 computes the internal delay time from the rotation period of a gear 22 to be ground read from a rotation period arithmetic circuit 108 and the operation delay time of an electromagnetic clutch 52 read from a clamp delay time storage circuit 110. When a peak detection circuit is output from the peak detecting circuit 106, a timer circuit 114 starts counting the internal delay time output from the addition circuit 112, and outputs a signal for energizing the electromagnetic clutch 52 when the internal delay time elapses.
