    • PURPOSE:To command the movement of a balance weights without contact and to facilitate maintenance and inspection, by using light signals. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 of a balancer has the following parts: a moving mechanism, which moves balance weights 2a and 2b; step motors 3a and 3b, which drive the moving mechanism; and optical sensors 6a-6d, which receive light signal from light sources 5a-5d and control the step motors 3a-3b. The reference positions of the balance weights 2a and 2b and the positions of the balance weights 2a and 2b, when the balancer main body 1 is balanced dynamically as a unitary body, are obtained beforehand. A main shaft 7, on which the balancer main body 1 and a grindstone 8 are mounted, is rotated. The amount of displacement of the main shaft 7 when the main shaft 7 makes one rotation is measured. The amount of unbalance of the main shaft 7 is found based on the amount of displacement. The positions of the balance weights 2a and 2b for balancing are obtained. When the moving instructions for the balance weights 2a and 2b are transmitted from the light sources 5a-5d as light signals and the balance weights 2a and 2b are moved, the main shaft 7 can be dynamically balanced.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent start torque of a balancer in 2 cylinder operation from being varied by altering the start torque of a balancer in response to an operation state of an engine and thereby allowing said torque to get equal to a primary component of said torque caused by explosion and combustion.
      CONSTITUTION: A balancer of a multi-cylinder engine can not properly exert its function in 2 cylinder operation of an engine. Therefore, two balancers BA, BB provided on a rotary shaft 1 are altered in their range of rotation for their balancing. A screw slot 20 is formed in a fitting part between the balancer 13 and the rotary shaft 14, and thereby the range of rotation of the balancer is altered depending on the position of the balancer 13. To alter the rotation range of the balancer, hydraulic pressure is supplied from a hydraulic source 26 to a hydraulic drive mechanism so as to permit start torque of the balancer to get equal to a primary component of the start torque caused by explosion and combustion, and thereby the axial position of the balancer 13 is altered.

    • PURPOSE:To perform balance adjustment rapidly in a running state, by mounting a detection means for detecting a vibration wave form, a control unit and a balance correction to a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle is allowed to run at a constant speed and a vibration acceleration wave form is detected by a vibration pick-up 1. A primary rotary component is extracted from said vibration acceleration wave form by a sampling circuit 9 and the peak and peak phase of the vibration wave form are operated from the sampled wave form and the axial frequency by a tachometer 5 by a first operation circuit 10. Next, the wheel exciting force and correction mass quantity of the peak value are operated from the conversion coefficient of the peak value of a preliminarily stored vibration accleration value and the wheel exciting force by a second operation circuit 11. From the operation result, a movable mass amount and a phase to be fixed are operated by an order circuit 13 and an ON-OFF order is issued to a plurality of electromagnets 14 of a balance correction means 8. If the electromagnets 14 are ON, a predetermined amount of magnetic materials 16 are formed to the attraction surface of each electromagnet 14 and, if OFF, the same correction mass is formed to a position where exciting force by unbalance is negated.

    • PURPOSE:To attain dynamic balancing of a magnetic disc pack rotating body simply in a short time with high precision, by holding plural steel balls so as to be moved in a ring shaped groove formed with an inner and an outer wheels having a metallic ball guide orbit. CONSTITUTION:In dynamically balancing the magnetic disc pack, first a magnetic disc pack assembly is fitted to a dynamic balancing machine. In this state, a plurality of steel balls 6 are freely moved in the ring shaped groove 29 formed with an inner and outer wheel 4 of the ring shaped steel guide orbit made of a shape storage alloy and a ring shaped steel ball guide orbit 5. In rotating the magnetic disc pack to attain dynamic balance, plural steel balls 6 is moved to a position to cancel unbalanced mass of the magnetic disc pack. In this state, the outer wheel 4 of the guide orbit is expanded in blowing cold air or carbon dioxide to the outer wheel 4 of the guide orbit of the steel balls made of the ring shaped storage alloy, plural steel balls 6 are fixed and the mass of the rotating body is balanced.
